Describe
Seamless steel pipe: Introduction
ASTM A106/A106M
Seamless steel pipe is made of a whole round steel through holes. There is no weld on the surface. It is called seamless steel pipe. According to the production method, seamless steel pipe can be divided into hot-rolled seamless steel pipe, cold-rolled seamless steel pipe, cold-drawn seamless steel pipe, extruded seamless steel pipe, top pipe, etc. According to the cross-sectional shape, seamless steel pipe is divided into round and special-shaped. Special-shaped pipes have square, oval, triangle, hexagon, melon seed, star, winged pipe and many other complex shapes. The maximum diameter is 900mm and the minimum diameter is 4mm. According to different uses, there are thick-walled seamless steel pipes and thin-walled seamless steel pipes. Seamless steel pipes are mainly used as petroleum geological drilling pipes, cracking pipes for petrochemicals, boiler pipes, bearing pipes, and high-precision structural steel pipes for automobiles, tractors, and aviation.
ASTM A53/A53M
1. Seamless steel pipes for general use are rolled from ordinary carbon structural steel, low alloy structural steel or alloy structural steel, with the largest output, and are mainly used as pipes or structural parts for conveying fluids.
2. They are supplied in three categories according to different uses:
a. Supply according to chemical composition and mechanical properties;
b. Supply according to mechanical properties;
c. Supply according to water pressure test. Steel pipes supplied in categories a and b, if used to withstand liquid pressure, must also be subjected to water pressure tests.
3. Seamless pipes for special purposes include seamless pipes for boilers, chemical power, geological seamless steel pipes, and seamless pipes for petroleum.
Seamless steel pipes have hollow cross-sections and are widely used as pipelines for conveying fluids, such as pipelines for conveying oil, natural gas, coal gas, water and certain solid materials. Compared with solid steels such as round steel, steel pipes are lighter in weight when the bending and torsional strengths are the same, and are an economical cross-section steel.

Classification
Specification
Seamless pipe according to GB/T8162-87
4.1. Specifications: The outer diameter of the hot-rolled tube is 32-630mm. Wall thickness 2.5 ~ 75mm. Cold-rolled (cold-drawn) tube outer diameter 5 ~ 200mm. Wall thickness 2.5 ~ 12mm.
4.2. Appearance quality: There must be no cracks, folds, rolling folds, delamination, hairlines and scarring defects on the inner and outer surfaces of steel pipes. These defects should be completely removed, and the wall thickness and outer diameter must not exceed the negative deviation after removal.
4.3. Both ends of the steel pipe should be cut at right angles, and the burrs should be removed. Steel pipes with a wall thickness greater than 20mm are allowed to be cut by gas cutting and hot sawing. It is not necessary to cut the head after the agreement between the supply and demand parties.
4.4. Refer to GB3639-83 for "Surface Quality" of cold-drawn or cold-rolled precision seamless steel pipes.
Our main products include seamless steel pipes, alloy pipes, line pipes, boiler pipes, anti-corrosion pipes, and we are committed to strict quality control and attentive customer service.
